Personal Growth

When working in dramatic exercises your inner dialogue should be functioning. Asking yourself such questions as, “what is the purpose of this exercise? Why do I feel so dumb doing this? What is going on here? And so on. Elaborate on your personal growth from the beginning of the semester to this half-way point. Are you more comfortable being in front of audience?

  1. At the beginning I thought that it was a bit tuff but fun. The more I work in class the easier it gets, and the more fun it gets. I acknowledge that I still have a long way to go to achieve a small level of mediocrity but I am enjoying the journey.

  2. In the beginning I was very shy. I didn’t like to read or speak in front of anybody, especially because of my accent, but know I feel more relaxed when I read in front of people and I don’t feel scared when I give my opinion. I love the exercises we do it, it not only makes we wake up but it makes we interact with each other. These exercises helped me lose my shyness and become more comfortable around people.

  3. From the beginning of this class, I found this class to be really silly, but as time progressed the class has become a lot easier to me as we performed different exercises. Since the halfway mark I have got to admit that I have found a lot more confidence in myself to do stuff I never thought I would be doing.

  5. At the start of the semester I was very uncomfortable and very nervous about performing infront of an audience. I thought it was useless to do the acting exercises. But as the semester went on i got more comfortable and started to enjoy the exercises even more comfortable in doing them. I enjoy acting an I think that taking this theatre class has thaught me alot about acting and theatre

  6. in the beg. i didnt expect much but lecture, i always been a class clown so being in front of people and acting is nothing new..far from shy so i was okk with it. but throughout the semester i learned acting on a stage and in plays you have to gain the audiences attention and must ALWAYS face your back the opposite way

  7. At the beginning of the semester i felt a little shy because it had been a couple of years since my last drama class, but at this point i am completely comfortable. I have been trying to get better at not turning my back to the audience. I will hopefully master this. I am enjoying this process so far

  8. The exersices are a good way to help people get out of the shyness that the stage brings to newcommers. i dont really feel like they helped me much but someone with less experience on stage would benifit from these goofy actings in public view.

  9. These exercises help you become more comfortable with public performances. From the beginning I was never a shy person so talking in front of audiences was no problem for me. I continue to get more comfortable and grow from the beginning of the semester until now.
